Prokom’s business transformation strategy
Having launched in Europe and the USA, Prokom, the community of Konica Minolta production printing users, is now seeking to become a global organisation.
‘Following successful activities we ran at drupa 2016 and now the launch of Prokom USA [at Graph Expo], the focus now shifts to demonstrating the value of Prokom as a community,’ explained Mark Hinder, head of market development, Konica Minolta business solutions Europe. ‘We have been listening to our customers’ needs.’
Launched in February 2014, the initiative from Konica Minolta helps members to connect, learn and grow their businesses through online support and training. Customers can register at www.prokom.org for free as a blue member and then upgrade to Elite for additional business tools.
‘We felt by having just one flat fee [for Elite], which is less than €34 per month, we can deliver effective programmes, which are within the reach of all print companies,’ said Andy Barber, chairman of Prokom.
There will be an inaugural annual conference held from 10-12 May in Vienna next year, and Prokom developments will be spotlighted at The UK Print Show this week.
