The new livery for Mat Jackson’s Ford Focus ST was printed on an Oki Colour Painter wide-format printer.
Printer manufacturer Oki is launching a competition to design a race car wrap at The Print Show.
From 11 October, entrants will be able to upload their artwork to the Print My Ride website, okiprintmyride.com, and apply it to a virtual car – rotating a 3D view to experience it from all angles before submitting it to be judged.
Winners will be chosen from six categories: ‘Overall design winner’, ‘Best overall visual design based on use of colour and style’, ‘Best use of the Oki Colorpainter’s capabilities based on technical application’, ‘Best professional creative design’, ‘Best design from an educational establishment’, and ‘Wild card’, which will be given to the wrap that garners the most attention on social media. The competition closes on 31 March 2017.
Oki has also supplied a brand new livery for Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship driver Mat Jackson’s Ford Focus ST, printed on the new Oki Colour Painter wide-format printer. The wrap covers the entire car; a first in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championships.
‘Such a vibrant and unique design for the last two crucial rounds of the 2016 season at Silverstone and Brands Hatch tops things off nicely,’ said David Bartrum, Motorbase Performance team principal.
