Foster’s new jumbo lifter can handle rolls up to 5 m x 50 cm
Wide format media handling specialist Foster has added a jumbo version of its On-A-Roll Lifter to handle the increased size of media rolls, especially for fabric printing.
The new model can handle rolls weighing up to 450 kg with dimensions of up to 5 m long by 50 cm wide, thanks to its ergonomic features.
‘Media rolls, particularly those carrying fabric and film, are getting bigger and heavier as mills and printers look to minimise shipping costs and inventory,’ said Foster CEO Ted Borowsky. ‘These larger rolls can be dangerous for operators and warehouse personnel to handle. Our new Foster On-A-Roll Lifter Jumbo enables a single operator to safely manipulate media rolls in limited floor space and to position rolls for quick and easy mounting in the printer.’
The lifter was demonstrated for the first time on the EFI Booth at SGIA handling rolls for the firm’s Reggiani and Matan machines and is available from Foster dealers worldwide.
