An HP Indigo 12000
HP has reached a milestone in the sales of its series 4 Indigo digital presses with 100 units installed since drupa 2016.
The presses (including HP Indigo 10000, 12000, 20000 and 30000) purchased at the show have been installed worldwide, the company revealed at Labelexpo Americas. It took 130 orders for the 10000 alone at drupa, HP announced in July.
Labels and packaging is the company’s fastest-growing graphics segment worldwide, with both digital label and packaging production projected to grow at double-digit percent CAGR.
‘As brands, converters and print providers evaluate their business models to adapt to changing market conditions, demand for digital labels and packaging solutions is rising, and HP is addressing this demand today by ramping manufacturing and delivering production-ready presses at customer sites worldwide,’ said Alon Bar-Shany, general manager, Indigo division, HP. ‘Leveraging HP Indigo’s continuous innovation, our labels and packaging customers are providing brands improved margins, while growing their own businesses by more than 25% per year, and driving a fundamental shift in how the printing industry does business.’
