The CMC 400 Evolution
Communications provider MBA Group has invested in two CMC 400 Evolution enclosing lines for its Warrington site.
The new machines signify ‘an investment in our clients’ future offline communications – offering them greater speed, flexibility and value for money,’ said Bachar Aintaoui, MBA’s chairman.
This is the first UK installation of the CMC 400 Evolution. The envelope inserters will be used for personalised direct mail and high volume transactional markets, merging cut-sheet and reel-fed paper streams into singular mail pieces. Supported formats include C4, C5, C6 or DL envelopes. MBA has set up the new system for a 24/7 operation.
MBA’s sales director, Kevin Stewart commented, ‘these new finishing and enclosing lines are going to make a great addition to our capabilities. The Evolution’s dynamic sequencing system along with the customised features of a folding and stitching unit and variable cutting channel will be key to delivering a true end-to-end white-paper solution for our clients.’
The purchase forms part of MBA’s £5 million investment, which includes three Ricoh Pro VC60000, the first of which was installed at its Warrington site earlier this year. The machine is now operational, producing client work and undergoing further stock profiling and tests.
The company will be installing the two further Ricoh VC60000s at its London site – one in mid November and one early in 2017. Sixteen existing machines will be relocated and in some cases decommissioned to create a new factory layout and a new department for all personalised finishing. There is also potential for CMC 400 Evolutions to be installed in London.
