The TrueVis SG-300 and SG-540
Roland has introduced a second line to its next generation TrueVis printer/cutter range.
The SG-300 and SG-540 are up to 60% faster than previous models in standard mode, offering speeds of 6 sq m/h and 7.9 sq m/h, respectively. The new machines are CMYK only and available in narrower versions (30-inch/762 mm and 54-inch 1371 mm) than the TrueVis VG line launched earlier this year. The SG-300 costs £6,999 and the SG-540 is £9,499.
‘Cost-effective and easy-to-use, print service providers can start making money with their SG from day one,’ said Andrew Oransky, general manager of sign business development for Roland DG, adding that the new range will be of benefit to ‘small shops in particular.’
The TrueVIS range introduces a number of improvements, including FlexFire printheads, new inks, a cut carriage and blade holder with increased downforce and accuracy and a ‘clean hands’ ink system with 500ml pouches which fit into reusable holders. The range includes Roland VersaWorks Dual RIP software that processes PDF and PostScript files, including files with transparencies. In addition to a built-in control panel, a new Roland DG Mobile Panel enables users to manage the printer functions remotely using their smartphone or tablet with a Bluetooth connection.
