Mayr-Melnhof Karton’s packaging for Stroopwafels
Mayr-Melnhof Karton has developed a rough surfaced matt top-side folding box board with a coating that enables fast ink absorption.
The rough surface was introduced following requests from customers; the coating means there is no printing ink set-off. Suggested applications include natural and vegan food packaging.
‘Accurate Top Natural is fully guaranteed for printing which gives our customers the confidence to produce a more rustic, natural looking carton without incurring slower press times and additional ink usage,’ said Phil Northam, external sales manager UK and Ireland of Warren, who will be distributing the boxboard.
Accurate Top Natural is suitable for direct food contact on both the top and reverse side and is available with a freeze treatment application. It is manufactured at Mayr-Melnhof Karton’s Eerbeek mill.
