BrunelPrint commissioned a white paper detailing the case for green print
The Bristol-based print company is the first in the UK to offer carbon neutral printing free.
BrunelPrint and its online arm Brunelone will offer every print product this way as standard, with no extra charges. The firm worked with ClimatePartner to assess the environmental impact of its business and to find two projects, in Western Kenya and in Papua New Guinea, which Brunel will help to fund as part of its carbon offsetting.
‘There are a lot of misconceptions about what it means to be environmentally-friendly in the printing world,’ said John Tugman, director of commercial print at BrunelPrint. ‘This is the only way we print – all of our printing and promotional materials, all of our processes and our entire business will not have a negative effect on the environment – and it won’t cost our customers any more.’
The company commissioned research into barriers to buying ‘green’ print and brought out a white paper detailing the case for green print, and providing more information on its projects.
