ISO 27001 will enable Baker Goodchild to take on additional work, according to managing director Lorraine Burnell
The Birmingham-based direct mail company has been audited for the information security management standard that helps companies assess and prevent information security risks.
‘We can now take on a wider variety of work that requires this level of security verification,’ commented Lorraine Burnell, Baker Goodchild’s managing director.
ISO 27001 is a best practise framework for an information security management system. It belongs to the ISO 27000 series of standards, and helps identify risks to information, and put in place the appropriate controls to reduce those risks.
