The new Komfi imiJET BE70 book edge printing machine
The new inkjet machine from the thermal laminating machine supplier applies either UV inks or UV varnish to all three book edges.
The imiJet BE70 is semi-automatic; feeding, turning and removal of the book is manual, while moving the book under the printing heads is carried out automatically.
Maximum book format is 420 x 420 x 70 mm and the machine can print 300 book edges per hour at 360 x 360 dpi. The machine uses four piezo-electric heads, with the option of adding two more. Four print resolutions are possible: 180 dpi, 360 dpi, 720 dpi and variable.
The machine is available in the UK from Komfi dealer Friedheim International.
