The Heleva 32 can be used to feed Elitron cutters and third party cutters and printers

Italian large format digital finishing specialist Elitron has launched three new automated systems.

Giuseppe Gallucci, founder and CEO of Elitron said: ‘Digital printing has now reached high levels of productivity, however the automatic cutting solutions have, until today, not managed to keep up. I say until because the solution is our three new systems, with one common denominator: automation.’

The Elitron Kombo TAV-R is a totally automated die-less digital cutter that incorporates media handling for loading and unloading. Working area is 3.2 x 2.2 m with a 24/32 sector zoned vacuum. A pre-loading area minimises loading time and multi sheet loading enables maximum productivity from the cutting bed even on smaller sized sheets. The machine has two cutting heads capable of handling a wide range of materials up to 20 mm thick. The firms patented Airo Panel system simplifies stripping of cut jobs.

Elitron also previewed the Kombo SDC+ a new large format (2.1 x 3.2 m) conveyor cutter that can support up to five tools on its gantry at any one time. The larger format is designed to support the latest generation of 3.2 m wide flatbed and hybrid printers. Lastly the firm has launched the Heleva 32, an intelligent media feeding system, which can be used to feed Elitron cutters and third party cutters and printers. It can feed non-stop from multiple pallet stacks and can centre up to four sheets at a time.
