The company supplied Perspex acrylic for large sculptures commissioned by Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust Hospital.

Artist Gerry Halpin MBE integrated laser cut coloured Perspex acrylic and printed Perspex acrylic to create ‘The Lowry Wall’, a 7m-long panel with a sequential colour cycle featuring figures from L.S. Lowry’s paintings. The installation is located on the wall leading to the hospital’s’ Lowry Unit entrance – named after local geography that inspired the famous artist. The majority of individual figures were printed directly onto Perspex Opal panels 3m tall, whilst five figures were printed and then cut out separately to create a raised 3D effect.

Mr Halpin commented, ‘Perspex acrylic was the perfect material and it has an engaging but therapeutic effect which fits perfectly well with the calm, contemplative mood of this restful area.’
