The Fusion Cross inserting system has been launched by Böwe Systec at drupa with a number of features to increase productivity.
New features of the high-performance inserting system include the Tornado envelope unwinder, the Autoloader for automatic enclosure feeding, and second-generation EPOD (Envelope Print On Demand) for individual colour envelope printing. The Flow-Principle developed for the system enables the entire production process to run smoothly.
The relative filling speed is slowed down by a factor of 4.5 providing a much more efficient inserting process. This enables processing a wide range of different enclosures of up to 15 mm. Even at the higher speeds of up to 16,000 (C4, B4) or 22,000 (B6+ to B5) envelopes per hour, the Fusion Cross provides secure processing that is gentle on both materials and machines with secure control via the link to the smart software solution Böwe Cockpit.
‘We have to provide our customers with leading-edge technology if they are to enjoy long-term success in our market – technology that enables them to lower their operating costs and also enhance their productivity. Only products that meet these criteria will give our customers a competitive edge in the market in the long run,’ explained Joachim Koschier, group managing director.
