EFI has launched three additional members of its Productivity Suite of sector-specific end-to-end workflow tools and provided an update on the overall status of the project one year on from its launch.
Additionally it is rolling out consultancy and project management services to help printers develop their business strategies and implement the right tools to deliver them.
The three new packages are the Corrugated Packaging Suite, Publication Print Suite and Quick Print Suite. These join the three suites launched last year the Enterprise Commercial Print Suite Midmarket Print Suite and Packaging Suite, all of which have continued to evolve. In particular the Midmarket Suite’s wide-format functionality has been improved with a new estimating tool and closer integration with the firm’s Vutek printers.
Productivity Suites are bundles of EFI software tailored to specific types of print organisation. At the heart of each is one of the firm’s MIS, around which are packaged its additional tools such as Fiery workflows, Metrix imposition, PrintFlow scheduling, AutoCount shopfloor data collection and Digital StoreFront web-to-print. Its aim in providing market-specific bundles is to reduce the time, cost and complexity of implementing the tools. EFI Productivity Software general manager Gaby Matsliach claimed that early one early adopter of Productivity Suite had managed to double productivity with no increase in staff.
