The new Jetrix KX7-S flatbed large format printer
The addition of the Jetrix KX7-S at New Inks meant the company needed to find new premises to fit the 2.5 x 3 m flatbed and also had to remove the front of the building.
With so much investment at stake, the company recognised the need to make some changes to their current set-up in order to accommodate such a large format printer. New Ink quickly identified a shop, just metres from their current premises and after some internal refurbishment to make it more open plan and external work to enable the printer to be manoeuvred in, the printer was positioned in the new premises.
When questioned about the company’s choice of printer, Andy Kordowski, large format manager, said, ‘Really it was because although our latex printer is great at delivering, we were increasingly finding that we needed a flatbed too. We explored a few options, but the Jetrix just kept coming up as our preferred option. It does everything we need it to do. The key things for us were that they are clearly built to last, you have the ability to pause the machine mid job and you can print on media up to 100 mm deep. This combined with the warranty and that the primer is already in the inks meant it was the perfect choice.’
Head of national sales, Ben Woodruff, commented, ‘More and more we are finding that once people see for themselves what the printer can do, they are then convinced that it is the right large format printer for them. We are delighted to support New Ink in their business expansion and extremely proud that they decided to choose our printer.’
