Digital print specialist Concept Communications, part of print and integrated communications provider group ProCo, has chosen to increase production capacity and flexibility with a Horizon BQ270V perfect binder.
Featuring variable software from Intelligent Finishing Systems, the Stansted-based digital printer needed an efficient variable data single clamp binder.
‘We bought it to help with an annual spike in demand,’ explained Alex Saunders, production director. ‘We needed it to help produce 25,000 annual report and accounts in five weeks. But it will also enable us to more efficiently meet demand all year round and ultimately that will give us extra capacity.
The 500 bph BQ270V with an intuitive touch screen set up enables the single clamp to be pre-set for the next book block in the job queue. It will help the operation have seamless production connectivity from pre-collated digital book blocks with a minimal amount of set up to reduce dead time in production.
