KL501 is the first Kolbus paperback stacker built using Kolbus technology to make a highly efficient compensating stacker, the first of which is already in the UK.

In particular telescopic adjustments of the belt at the infeed and an expanded radius between it and the ascending conveyor ensure an optimised transfer of product stacks. The servo driven lifting table in the collecting chamber is particularly gentle in operation; as the product feeds in, the table lowers and minimizes any drop height.

The upper and lower belts of the infeed conveyor are now driven by individual motors and can be separately automatically adjusted. Software also automatically links adjustments made to both the stacker and trimmer so that only one set of changes need to be made.
