Newly authorised Ricoh wide format dealer Josero has found success with a sale of the Ricoh Pro L4160 to Letchworth-based display print specialist The Larger Profile.

The company said the new machine, which the manufacturer says has lower power consumption than other latex printers on the market and is ideal for both indoor and outdoor materials, would dramatically increase its client offering, giving it the ability to fulfil complex projects.

It has chosen a hexachrome and white configuration for the Ricoh Pro L4160, the orange and green channels extending and brightening the colour gamut to up to 93% of the Pantone range. This is a critical feature of the printer as The Larger Profile works with a variety of leading retailers and DIY brands, as well as some blue chip companies.

Gary Orsman, managing director, The Larger Profile, said: ‘We’re constantly investing in new technology to enable us to deliver a more efficient and cost effective service. The Ricoh Pro L4160 appealed to us because it offered the versatility that couldn’t be found in other wide format printers. The latex ink combined with the white option provides print flexibility that we haven’t been able to achieve with our other UV or eco-solvent printers. It now allows us to print and vacuum form, because of the inks’ stretch capabilities. We are now able to fulfil some particularly tricky print projects accurately and efficiently.’

The company produces a variety of products such as advertising hoarding panels, building wraps, printed wall displays, window displays, printing on Acrylics direct and simple vinyls.

Josero will be exhibiting on behalf of Ricoh at the Sign & Digital show next week.
