Canon is launching the Océ ColorStream 3000 Z series, a high speed commercial inkjet printing system, to suit smaller environments not normally suitable for high-volume inkjet installations.

The Z series is designed in parallel to the existing Océ ColorStream 3000 range and aims to provide the same quality and versatility with a smaller footprint. The range comprises four systems, ranging from 48 to 127 m/min, for an equivalent productivity of 324 to 1714 A4 pages/min, while using around 30% less floor space.

The unit is designed to be the slimmest high volume full colour continuous feed inkjet system on the market. Its built-in simplex Z-fold stacking functionality further reduces space impact, and supports stacks of up to 300 mm for a wide range of applications, including high-speed monochrome imprinting.  The range includes HeadSafe and InkSafe technology, designed to minimise ink and paper wastage and maximise print quality.

‘The Océ ColorStream range is famous all over the world for delivering outstanding quality at high speed and with high reliability,’ said Craig Nethercott, commercial print group director. ‘The Océ ColorStream 3000 Z series brings this fantastic proposition to businesses with a restriction on space, making it possible to run a viable inkjet printing workflow where it wasn’t physically possible before. This makes it easier for businesses to provide these services closer to city centres, or complement existing print systems without having to spend money on expanding their sites.’
