Diamond Colour Print has taken delivery of one of the last Heidelberg Linoprint C901 digital presses, determined to match the existing press which has added £200,000 a year to the turnover of the Dartford company.
Managing director Roy Risley, said, ‘Our first Linoprint C 901 has generated a high volume of short run business from existing offset customers and new markets. We have used Fogra standards and set up colour matching across proofing, digital and offset technologies in-house so that our customers can be confident of the colour quality and consistency.’
The company finished the year with a turnover just short of £1.1 m, of which £900,000 was from offset. With the new Linoprint in place the company believes it can reach at least £300,000 in digital sales and grow the business.
The press will run on a flexible single shift and will lead to a new full time position becoming available at Diamond Colour Print.
Heidelberg has recently announced the replacement of the Linoprint C901 and C 751 with Linoprint CP and CV models.
