Apex Digital Graphics and Intelligent Finishing Systems (IFS) have announced a joint open house to take place at the Apex showroom in Hemel Hempstead from 10 – 12 March.

The event, entitled, The Real Print and Finish Open House, showcases a wide range of equipment from both companies.

Apex managing director Bob Usher, ‘Our theme is ‘Real Print and Finish,’ because we’re offering genuine production solutions, not promises or possibilities – and we’re encouraging customers to challenge us to produce real work samples. Whether it’s a regular job they want to produce more effectively, or if they are seeking a production solution to enter a new market, we hope to be able to demonstrate that between us, Apex and IFS offer the most effective options.’

Apex will also show a Konica Minolta C1060 digital press, one of the company’s most successful production print machines.

IFS will feature the latest innovations in saddle stitching from Horizon, with a number of configurations showcasing the possibilities for the most responsive lines, delivering the highest quality. Among the highlights will be a Horizon SL5500 Stitchliner with VAC-600HA collating tower and HOF-400 high speed Digital Sheet Feeder, which allows for the machine to ‘mix feed’ digital and litho sheets. A Horizon SPF-200L landscape bookletmaker will also be on show.

IFS will also show a Horizon BQ470 Perfect Binder with both EVA and PUR gluing, and a range of folders, trimmers and creasers. In addition to the Horizon machines, the company will show two models from its Foliant laminator range – the B3 Vega 400 and B2 Taurus 530.

Joint managing director Bryan Godwyn, said, ‘We have established a great relationship with Apex who are now our near neighbours following our recent move to Hemel Hempstead. We’re looking forward to once again to giving real printers real solutions, in real time!’

The show will open at 9.30 am on each day, with a 5 pm close on 10 and 12. There will be a later closing time of 8 pm on Wednesday 11. Those interested in registering for the event should visit www.realprintandfinish.com.  Customers who wish to produce samples of their own work at the open house should indicate so on the registration form.
