Mailroom solutions provider, Totalpost Services has acquired Mailing and Mechanisation UK Ltd as part of a major expansion plan, giving the company a wider portfolio of mailroom and mailing equipment.
This acquisition will bolster the company’s position as a mailroom manufacturer and supplier. The company provides a full suite of incoming and outgoing mail and print solutions including franking machines, copiers, and returned mail handling. Additionally they provide X-Ray security systems for screening mailroom letters and parcels and also for baggage, cargo and people.
Managing director, David Hymers, said, ‘We are pleased that this highly respected company has joined the Totalpost group, although they will continue to trade under the powerful brand of Mailing and Mechanisation. Their approach of high quality manufacturing and working to the needs of the customer fits extremely well with Totalpost’s ethos of providing best of breed equipment coupled with exceptional customer service.
‘The acquisition of this business will allow us to expand our already successful complete incoming and outgoing mailroom service incorporating mail preparation and handling. This deal is part of major growth plans that we have for the business and is a great start to 2015.’
The appeal of Mailing and Mechanisation UK as an acquisition target lies in its ability to build personalised inserting products for specific applications. As the systems are completely customised they can be built for any scenario.
Built around the requirements of the customer by the specialised manufacture team at Mailing and Mechanisation, these machines are tested to an extremely high standard.
Established and run by a group of dedicated engineers who will be retained as part of the team including the founder, Dave Kolb who will remain for a significant time to permit a smooth handover to the new senior management and will continue to be available in a consultancy role in the future.
