Horizon Digital Print has increased its flexible wide format production capabilities by investing in Agfa’s new three metre wide Anapurna M3200i roll-to-roll UV printer.
This three metre wide printer is an industrial roll-to-roll printer. It incorporates high-resolution print heads for high quality and has an output speed of up to 123 sqm/hour. It is capable of printing on dual rolls simultaneously as well as on mesh without a liner.
‘We know Agfa Graphics very well with over 30% of our production equipment being manufactured by them. They, like us, understand colour as both our companies have grown from repro backgrounds. Once we saw the Anapurna M3200i RTR we knew we could find the extra business to fill it and in less than a month of being installed it is working round the clock,’ explained Ken Kavanagh, joint managing director. ‘The quality of the M3200i is fantastic. The performance of the Anapurna is also a major advantage especially when you take into account the dual roll system which is very easy to set up and allows us to print two 1.5 metre rolls side by side.’
