Director Graeme Sibley
Lured by its print quality and the fact it can print six page products and four page landscape work, Trio Offset has purchased a Linoprint C 751.
‘It gives us a lot of options, more than other systems we looked at. It is not litho quality but it’s close,’ said director Graeme Sibley. ‘We have Heidelberg litho and prepress equipment and that experience makes us confident in the advice, knowledge, expertise and support infrastructure.’
The C 751 will be used for short runs, work primarily for events and publishers, but the company will be looking at opportunities for personalisation, versioning and variable data generally.
‘Customers expect a quality product but price wins over the type of technology used to achieve that. We believe that having this digital technology will extend the work we can offer to our existing clients.’
The press will be delivered before Christmas and bedded in for full out production from the new year. The machine was the right footprint, fitted Trio’s budget and provided the flexibility the company was looking for.
