FastAnt has embarked upon a new sales strategy involving the recruitment and development of two graduates who will be trained specifically to sell digital printing solutions.

This new strategy makes FastAnt one of the first printers in the UK to run a programme dedicated to training graduates in digital print sales.

Andrew Briggs and Jade McGowan-Young, both from Leeds Beckett University have joined the company from the recruitment agency Pareto Law, which specialises in recruiting and training graduates specifically for sales positions.

The two will receive intensive sales and negotiation training with Pareto Law and The Taylor Bloxham Group, along with an extensive internal digital printing skills programme supported by Hewlett Packard and DSCOOP.

Sales manager, Neil Tracey will manage and coordinate the training programme using his own skills in Situational Leadership 2 (SL2).

Managing director, Matthew Wennington, describes the bold new programme as a method of introducing a new ambitious team with no pre-conceived ideas of print. They will focus on selling marketing communications which specifically includes digital printing within the portfolio of services.

He said, ‘The programme starts with a vanilla-flavoured sales person who has all the necessary key attributes present. Then we sprinkle on the hundreds and thousands that is the understanding of digital solution selling.’
