GI Solutions have continued their recent series of investments with the addition of a second booklet maker, the Duplo Digital System 5000 PRO.
The investment comes after the company identified the need for better targeted and more personalised booklets. This booklet maker produces variably paginated, digitally printed booklets to allow the inclusion of more targeted information.
The new addition allows the combination of digital contents with a matched cover, in four finishing styles. The use of optical mark recognition and subsequent ability to provide a complete production record ensures the company to now meet customer requirements for booklets, to the same high security and quality standard as their other products.
Ifor Pedley, operations director, confirmed, ‘There are a wide range of digital booklet makers on the market but the Duplo System 5000 won over on the basis that it is highly modular, fast and had a short lead time. It’s read in and read out 2D barcode technology was also a key factor in the purchasing decision.’
