Ace Binding has splashed out on a range of new products including a Punch 500, AP 360, Mobi 500 and a Autobind 500HS as well as two Horizon VAC-1000 collating towers.
Ace Binding specialises in trade PUR binding, perfect binding and other specialist print finishes. It has a wide variety of finishing equipment so that it can work flexibly and take on projects both large and small.
The Birmingham trade finisher expects to see return on investment on some of the two Horizon VAC-1000 collating towers from Intelligent Finishing Systems in just a few months.
‘The towers will have paid for themselves by Christmas,’ said director Rob Hart. ‘We are wire and perfect binding specialists and a number of local businesses have closed down. We were winning more and more work and are entering our busiest time of the year for calendars. We needed help with the increased workload and with collating sets that would have been done by hand or sent through our existing collator twice.’
Speaking about his other investments, Mr Hart said, ‘, ‘A lot of thought has gone into the manufacture of the Renz machines, which makes them very easy to use and very reliable. They will run all day if needed. The Renz equipment will allow us to increase our production and take on a lot more work including calendars and book work.’
