The latest survey Zing Insights suggests Sign & Digital UK has reaffirmed its position as the UK’s leading buying show for the sign making, display solutions and digital printing industries.
The show welcomed 6,115 visitors to the NEC, Birmingham on 29 April – 1 May 2014 and saw an 8% increase in visitors through the door.
The survey received 858 responses and showed that the top three reasons for attending were to see new products, keep up with industry trends and to find new ideas and inspiration.
Visitors to the show were there to buy, with 90% of visitors looking to invest in new equipment at the show or in the following 12 months. 86% of visitors were part of their companies buying process, which reveals why sales were high.
Over 57% of visitors had not attended another event in this sector for the past two years and nearly two thirds said that if they could only attend one event a year it would be Sign & Digital UK.
When visitors were asked what they would like to see more of, top of the list were ‘materials and substrates’ followed by vehicle wrapping.
Rudi Blackett, event director commented, ‘The results of this survey will help us to ensure that the 2015 show continues to be a must-attend event for the sign making, digital solutions and digital printing industries. Visitor feedback is very important to us and we will be implementing new features next year to reflect what the market wants to see – watch this space.’
