Russell Printers Ltd. has purchased an embroidered workwear company to expand its print services and can now offer customised corporate clothing in addition to its print services.
The Birmingham-based commercial printers acquired BCR Workwear in May 2014. This acquisition has enabled the company to produce embroidered goods within five working days, which is fast within this industry and keeps in line with its other prompt services, including same-day digital print and delivery within the Birmingham area.
Director, Ian Breakwell, said, ‘When BCR Workwear was offered to us earlier this year, we did our homework and soon realised it could be a good opportunity to run alongside our existing service. After all it is almost like printing but on clothing instead of paper! We purchased the order book in the buyout and are delighted to have kept a good percentage of the existing client base.’
The company is a family business and specialises in same day and next day corporate print services for products such as business cards, stationery, leaflets, and posters.
