MPC Printers in New Barnet, have installed Tharstern’s flagship product, Primo, in order to fully utilise the benefits of a full end-to-end MIS solution.
The company recognised the need to make an investment in order to become more efficient as it grow, in both administration and in production. The upgrade to Primo has been part of a major £2,000,000 investment programme which also included a Heidelberg XL75 press, SM52 press, ST350 stitching line, Stahl Folder, upgraded AGFA workflow and colour management software. With the new software closing the loop and linking everything together, it now has a fully automated workflow that sees the job all the way through from initial contact through to delivery and after sales care.
Tony Crook, managing director, said, ‘When deciding on the right MIS solution for us, Tharstern Primo was the obvious choice for now and one that will allow us to grow into the future. We always want to deal with the best and have always regarded Tharstern as innovators and leading the way in terms of MIS providers. Connectivity was an important feature for us and Tharstern are very proactive in ensuring everything fits together seamlessly. We feel this is our time and this investment into our new technology driven workflow is going to prove to be the making of our success.’
MPC Printers is a commercial printing organisation, operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week handling a wide variety of print jobs and so recognised the benefits of a print MIS system back in 2003 when the company installed its first Tharstern system.
