Paper merchant PaperlinX is celebrating a successful three days at Sign & Digital UK where it secured orders for digital printers totalling almost £300,000.
Steve Peet, product development manager said visitors were keen to see a number of new products from Mimaki and Jetrix, as well as the new HP Latex printer series, which made its UK debut at the show.
‘Many customers waited until the show to see the latest technology first-hand before making the decision to invest. The New HP Latex Printer series was the highlight for many and we signed deals on the stand for six printers.’
Moray Campbell, director of Edinburgh-based Allander purchased a brand new HP Latex 330 at the show. He said, ‘Up until now we’ve outsourced all large format work; however we now have significant volume to justify investing in kit and bringing it back in-house. I’ve road-tested several solvent and aqueous printers but was keen to view the new HP model and so waited until the show to visit the PaperlinX stand and try it out.
‘I was very impressed – the image quality is excellent. But what was most impressive was the fact that the prints are completely dry when they come out of the machine and they are scratch resistant.’
The merchant group also received orders for several Mimaki, Jetrix and Canon wide format printers.
Mr Peet said, ‘This was our first time exhibiting as PaperlinX and the perfect opportunity to promote the Group’s expertise and knowledge of the complete digital print workflow; from machine and material selection, right through to finishing and packaging. It was a huge success and we’ve have already confirmed our place next year.’
