GI Solutions and HP shake on the deal
GI Solutions has increased its digital print capability with a £3,000,000 investment in two HP T230 high speed digital inkjet presses.
The presses provide high quality digital print with 1200 dpi running at one million A4 sheets per day
The company’s digital print requirement has grown by 1000% over the past five years and now accounts for over 40% of the turnover. The expected demand of new products, such as Digital Envelopes, is £1,000,000 in the first year and the investment in the new equipment is designed to support this.
Ifor Pedley, operations director, said, ‘We looked at all the suppliers in the market and stress tested our top three options. Our tests and financial analysis concluded that the HP machines were the most suitable for high speed, high quality colour digital printing. GI Solutions is seeing a huge growth in digital print production and we needed machinery that could cope with the demands of our customers and have future proofed technology.’
