Superior Creative has invested in an Inca Onset S40i supplied by Fujifilm, which will support its existing Onset S40 installed two years ago at the company’s premises in Melksham, Wiltshire.

Richard Blueitt, commercial & operations director, explained, ‘The increasing demands for wide format applications prompted us to extend our investments in this area.’ He continued, ‘We have been extremely happy with the quality and productivity offered by the Inca Onset S40, so investing in a second and similar engine was a natural progression for us.’

The company will also be using the latest Uvijet OC inks, which according to Fujifilm produce solid and vibrant colours. Mr Blueitt commented, ‘We have been using the Uvijet OZ inks for the last few years and they have given us greater flexibility to print on different substrates, together with expanding our business opportunities on larger volume projects.’ He added, ‘The most recent Fujifilm Uvijet OC inks, which are ideal for the indoor applications particularly requested by our clients, will add value to our market proposition.’

The retail sector is a key target for the company which prints predominantly on corrugated and fluted board to produce POP & displays. Mr Blueitt highlighted, ‘The Onset S40 has allowed us to achieve greater efficiency and cost savings, and the investment in a new Onset S40i will pay off just as equally. The training and the technical support provided by Fujifilm and Inca is nothing short of excellent and this will certainly contribute to reaching these positive results.’

The Onset S40i produces POS-quality display graphics economically at throughput speeds of up to 560 sqm/hr, equivalent to 112 full bed sheets/hr (3.14 x 1.6 m) and onto substrates up to 50 mm thick. A choice of uni-directional, bi-directional and super high quality print modes can be selected depending on the specific job requirements.
