Kwang-Choon Chung, CEO of InkTec, with the Prime Minister.

South Korean manufacturer InkTec Corporation welcomed the Prime Minister and Witney MP, David Cameron on 21 February as Mr Cameron officially opened InkTec’s product demo suite in Witney, Oxfordshire.

The opening of the demo suite marked a significant step in support of the Prime Minister’s pledge to create a ‘partnership of growth and reform’ with China and Asia, encouraging businesses in Asia to invest in the UK.

Mr Cameron commented: ‘Britain and South Korea may be on different sides of the world but we have many shared values and I am proud of our long-standing relationship. That is why it is wonderful to see this Korean investment in Britain and I was delighted to open InkTec’s new demo suite in Witney. I look forward to seeing this company go from strength to strength in the coming months and years.’

InkTec set up in the UK in 2006 and its recent expansion has been assisted with the support of KOTRA, a South-Korean Government-funded trade and investment organisation. Now existing and potential resellers, distributors and their customers can visit the demo suite to see InkTec’s products, such as the Jetrix suite of UV flat-bed printers, in action. Visitors can also learn more about the company’s range of inkjet ink and media products, and purchase products on site for next day delivery.

The Jetrix series is ideal for indoor and outdoor printing and industrial applications, and the silk screen and signage market. There are UV printers of all sizes and specifications to suit every printing need, ranging from £50,000 to £140,000 capital outlay. They print directly on any substrate, replacing the expense and time spent printing and sticking expensive materials to the substrate. Special UV inks give strong adhesion to traditionally difficult to print substrates, such as metal and glass, with a high quality HD print.

Printers such as the Jetrix KX7-D reach speeds of up to 60 square meters per hour and cost little to run with ink costing as low as 50 pence per square metre. Every Jetrix printer comes with a unique two-year manufacturer’s warranty for added peace of mind.

‘As we move out of recession, we recognise that our customers want printers that are of a high standard and build yet low cost to run,’ said Dongsoo Kim, managing director of InkTec Europe. ‘The demo suite will be a place to share with resellers and customers the value of our products.  Visitors will be able to ‘try before they buy” and get the support, advice and guidance they need when making an important purchasing decision; leaving them confident that they’re buying the best technology, at the best price for their business.’

The demo suite will have three printers on display: the new Jetrix KX5 stationary flatbed printer, which measures 2500 x 1300 mm with a 2190 mm roll; and the Roland XF-640 and Epson Sure Colour, demonstrating InkTec’ s brand new Eco Nova Eco Solvent ink and Sublinova Dye Sublimation ink.
