Sharp has launched six black and white multifunction printers with advanced cloud capabilities to complement the recently launched colour MFP product line up.
The new range consists of the MX-M565N, MX-M465N, MX-M365N, MX-M564N, MX-M464N and MX-M364N.
The company has created an innovative new toner formulation for the new printers, which significantly reduces the amount of energy used when printing and copying documents. The new Mycrostoner-CAP melts at a lower temperature, helping to achieve a low Typical Electricity Consumption (TEC) value.
The new range also uses biomass plastic, made from plant matter, to reduce its environmental footprint and includes a selection of intelligent energy and power saving features. For example, these devices do more than switch to sleep mode, they can ‘learn’ usage patterns and go to sleep when they predict a period of inactivity.
The MX-M565N, MX-M465N and MX-M365N include wireless LAN connectivity as standard. One touch on the MFPs’ LCD control panel gives the user instant access to print documents they have stored in the cloud. Users can also scan directly to the cloud.
However, for those businesses that do not store and share information in the cloud yet, the MX-M564N, MX-M464N and MX-M364N are future-proof cloud-capable models, ready for the cloud with the addition of optional wireless LAN and Sharp OSA upgrade.
In addition the new series has a variety of automatic finishing options to create professional, high quality and easy-to-read documents. Enhanced finishing features include booklet-making and hole punching.
Rachel Dean, European product planning manager, said, ‘These six new cloud capable devices transform our black and white MFP line-up, offering fast, energy efficient and secure options for every medium to large business. With cloud capabilities, our MFPs are ready to meet the changing demands on how information is used and accessed.’
