New start up Infinity Finishing Partnership is expecting an early Christmas present to itself in the form of a digital PUR binding machine from Duplo.
Expected to arrive in the first week of December, the Duplo Automatic Professional PUR Binding Machine will complement the company’s Muller Martini Acoro perfect binding line, however, digital capabilities have been in demand from customers getting in contact with the company.
Ian Simkins, director, said, ‘Digital is big and growing and it is something that has to be looked at, the Martini binder really is fantastic and we use it a lot, but with the Duplo PUR we have a machine with low make ready times and perfect for short runs with no mess, which makes it a ‘win win’ for everyone.’
The low make ready times the PUR binder brings allows the company to free up its main binding machine, allowing jobs to be run concurrently and generally increasing productivity.
Mr Simkins added, ‘This really is an exciting time for us as we have only been in production for about six weeks..’
The company offers PUR binding, perfecting binding, folding and has a Polar 115 for cutting. Based in Surrey, the finishing business is mainly targeting the southern counties and is also in close range to London.
