Colour management and proofing solution vendor GMG has announced a special deal for customers who own X-Rite i1 measuring instruments, enabling them purchase the new i1Pro 2 spectrophotometer for a reduced price, starting at €950. The offer ends on 30 November 2013.
To get the i1Pro 2 at the reduced price, the old i1 device has to be returned to GMG via an authorized dealer. GMG is offering bundles comprising a GMG ProofControl update with the i1Pro 2, which features new measuring technology that supports the M1 measuring standard (on which the future ISO/Fogra industry standards – due to be available from the end of this year – are based. Devices purchased in the context of this campaign come with a two-year warranty, whereas the warranty period is normally only 12 months.
GMG ProofControl permits contract-quality verification of proofs in a matter of seconds, making colour accuracy objectively measurable. The latest version supports the verification of spot colour and GMG OpenColor profiles.
