Nottingham-based Precision Inks has taken steps into the digital market with a new range of lamination films suitable for entry level lamination systems.

The family run business has a background in press room products more suited to the litho market, however, after trialing the new product range for the last 12 months the company has seen impressive results in the digital sector.

Specifically for digital applications the company now offer films in sizes of 315, 440 and 510 mm in width x 500 or 1000 m in length, in both gloss and matt finishes. The company offers a digital Soft Touch range, a more expensive but higher quality lamination film, which can give users a high end luxury finish.

Demi Carnelley, marketing manager, said, ‘With this range we hope to sell to the smaller printers as our client list already includes the larger printing houses. The new products are part of a special films range, with the new Soft Touch film available, alongside gloss and matt, which offers a luxurious higher quality finish to printers’ products.’

She added, ‘We have offered digital ranges to our larger customers before so providing to digital printers is not new to us, despite our client base to be mainly litho printers.’

The company has an existing client base for 3000 m larger rolls but see this new range as having a lot of potential for growth. They will sell the new range direct and through an existing distribution chain.
