The Mimaki CJV30 has an integrated cutter.
The build-up to the LabelExpo Europe event in Brussels in September is gathering momentum, with Mimaki announcing a line-up of innovative labelling solutions that it will show.
The company will be demonstrating its capabilities with white and silver inks, the ability to take advantage of a larger sheet size for multiple-up or nested label jobs, and its near-line cutting solutions optimised for short-run label work.
‘We have been very pleased with the way our printers and cutters are being used in the label industry for a variety of high quality, short run specialty label applications,’ said Mike Horsten, general manager, marketing for Mimaki EMEA. ‘Visitors to our stand at the show will be able to see these applications live, as well as view a wide variety of samples that will generate great ideas for their businesses. Our white and silver inks add an extra dimension to speciality label applications and broaden the range of substrates that can be used effectively.’
Among the large format printers destined for the show are the Mimaki CJV30 Series, which features an integrated cutting solution at a print speed of up to 17.5 square metres per hour; the UJF-6042 A2 format UV LED flatbed printer, an energy saving, eco-friendly printer with LED UV curing and multiple ink options, including white ink, clear varnish and inkjet primer; the J400-SUV Series, which combines the flexibility of solvent printing with the durability of UV cured inks; and the JV400LX Series, which uses more ecologically friendly latex inks and features the world’s first water-based white latex ink.
Mr Horsten added: ‘Whether the requirement is for multiple label types on the same sheet or multiple-up of the same label for short runs, Mimaki label printing and finishing solutions offer the quality, flexibility and capabilities that make it cost effective to produce stunning specialty labels in short to medium runs.’
