The papers are manufactured by Sappi and exclusively distributed in the UK and Ireland through the Group’s three merchants. Magno FSC-certified papers are available in coated and uncoated variants.
The wood-free coated paper range comes in a wide range of standard and bespoke sizes and in weights ranging from 90 gsm to 400 gsm and includes: Magno gloss (formerly Hello Gloss and Club Gloss), Magno matt (previously Hello Matt and Club Matt) and Magno satin (replacing Club Silk and Hello Silk). In addition, Magno offset – the new name for Core Uncoated is available in a comprehensive range of sizes and in 80 gsm to 300 gsm grades.
Chris Smith, PaperlinX product manager for coated and uncoated papers, said: ‘Magno’s bright white shade, excellent colour reproduction and surface characteristics, ensures great on-press performance and perfect print results every time.’
All Sappi papers are produced in mills accredited with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001certification and in addition, Magno gloss, Magno matt and Magno satin are also Carbon Balanced, pre-paid at no additional cost.
Carbon Balanced is where the CO2 emissions of products have been estimated and an equivalent amount of carbon dioxide is either prevented from being released, or is absorbed from the atmosphere. Balancing is facilitated by ecological charity The World Land Trust and to date, PaperlinX has balanced 70,800 tonnes of CO2 (the equivalent of taking 18,000 cars off the road for a year) and protected more than 2300 acres of endangered rainforest (the area of 1,150 football pitches).
