With an array of print finishing equipment from Duplo International, Winchester-based Mint Signs has furnished its newly created print services division.

Included in the kit is a Duplo DC-615 digital cutter-creaser, DF-1000 folding machine and the recently launched Ideal 4860-ET SRA3 guillotine.

The company was focused entirely on the sign making market offering vehicle graphics, signs and exhibition displays, banners and graphics. However with this new equipment Mint Signs is able to offer its clients extra services. ‘The ability to offer conventional print services is a natural extension of the existing business so the choice was quite straight forward,’ Warren Beard, managing director, said.

When the decision came to make the investment, the company ‘chose the highest level of automation available’ as Mr Beard explained ‘It is simply not enough to be cost competitive alone. Of course customers expect high quality products at a fair price but they also want suppliers to be flexible. We can turn around urgent work really quickly and we can only do that because we have efficient staff and productive equipment.’

Not only has Mint invested in new machines, it has also made additions to its workforce by taking on a new graphic designer, allowing the company to offer a complete print and design service. This new service will be branded as Brocha print and design to appeal to new customers.
