Today it was announced that Roland DG has withdrawn from Ipex 2014. The company said the decision is a result of a re-focusing of its sales and marketing initiatives to ensure it is best placed to meet the changing needs of its markets in the short to medium term.
The event scheduled to take place at London’s ExCel centre from 26 March to 2 April 2014. Jerry Davies, managing director, said, ‘We have witnessed a number of shifts in the marketing landscape over the last couple of years and, as such, we believe our customers are now best served by changing some of the ways in which we communicate with them. Roland’s primary aim is to listen to its customer base and react accordingly. Customers now want more personalised, localised and immediate ways to learn and interact with the brand and its products and we are working hard to deliver that. It is with all this in mind that Roland DG has made the decision to withdraw from Ipex 2014 and further diversify its communication channels by focusing on the country and industry-specific needs of all its market sectors.’
