Smithers Pira is inviting printers from around the world to participate in a major new online survey.
The survey is designed to assess current trends in digital printing adoption, and the extent to which it is actually making inroads into sectors dominated by offset and other traditional print processes. It also collects industry views on key drivers and barriers to the adoption of digital print, and how printers are seeking to modify their offer in the current environment
Your answers will be treated confidentiality, and only used in combination with answers from other respondents to produce an overview/average of weighted responses, and help inform the general analysis of offset and digital printing trends. Typical completion time is just 10 to 15 minutes.

All respondents to this survey will receive a Summary of Results, as well as a free Smithers Pira e-book (PDF) on ‘Analogue to Digital Printing – Navigating the Transition’ (worth £199).
This e-book clarifies, quantifies and qualifies the current and future state of analogue and digital printing technologies, their respective places in the market, and determines whether or not there is indeed a ‘transition’ taking place, and the extent to which it can be quantified. Each printing technology is examined in the context of a series of factors that are either driving or impeding any transition from analogue to digital, such as run length, colour, substrate, turnaround, the potential for personalisation and customisation, and more. Run length is discussed, as well as trends in finishing; and the role of the buyer. Five year industry forecasts are provided.
The closing date for entries to the survey is Friday January 25, 2013
