Key2Print is a hosted (SaaS) web to print system that’s available for monthly or yearly rental, or outright purchase to run on a printer’s own server from just £4069 plus £325 per year for IT support.

If you choose the rental option it is £167, or £136 per month if a year’s payment is made in advance (ie a total of £2004 upfront). Prices are in Euros so they’ll vary a bit with the exchange rate.

It has been developed by Key2Print in Poland, which offers multiple language versions including English and said UK users will have access to English speaking support staff. The company offers website optimisation and online promotion, including support for Google AdWords campaigns.

The developer said that a printing house can be up and running with an online store within a few days of signing up, with actual set-up taking a matter of hours. It can be used as the printer’s complete customer-facing website, or it can integrate with an existing website.

The modular system offers a combination of online ordering with interactive job setup, plus template based artwork file creation. Artwork files can be uploaded through the website or via FTP. Customers can access an order management panel.

A standard website layout is available as part of the price. This can be customised with the user’s choice of icon colours, buttons, backgrounds and simple CSS style changes at no extra charge.

The system has built in support for a large range of typical print jobs already, but Key2print said it can quickly add new types on request, usually within 24 hours. There is already support for multi-page products such as calendars and the company said it is working on a book ordering feature.

The secure storefront can accept payments via PayPal, Paylane and Multisafepay, or wire transfer, as part of the price. Other methods are available for one-off payment of £123 each. Alternatively payment on delivery can be specified. There’s built-in support for loyalty and customer communications schemes through vouchers and newsletters.
