London based large format supplier Perfect Colours has been appointed exclusive UK distributor of the Durst Omega 1 and 2 large format UV flatbed inkjets. These presses offer roll and sheet feeding and can run at up to 18 m2 per hour with ‘fine art’ quality, 10 m2 per hour with dual white inks, or 33 m2 per hour at billboard quality.
Unusually Durst offers an upgrade path for these machines, so a base level four colour configuration can be extended for six colours and dual white channels. Both models are also available as PCA (process colour addition) versions with wider colour gamuts due to the addition of violet and orange process inks. A grey ink is also available for black and white photographic work.
