Impression Technology Europe, distributor of the Memjet based Rapid X1 ad X2 label presses, is offering the X1 together with the Compress Eclipse LF3 finisher as a complete starter package for short run label production.
The company said this gives the user the ability to print and convert standard continuous blank stock into high quality, full colour labels fully cut and slit ready for application.
The Rapid X1 label printer was introduced a couple of years ago and shown for the first time in the UK at Ipex 2010. It prints at up to 18 metres per minute in full colour.
The Compress LF3 finisher was developed in the UK by Impression Technology Europe and was introduced this year and shown at drupa in may. It handles cutting and slitting and also offers lamination. It’s a compact unit measuring 1000 x 600 x 780 mm and can take label rolls up to 300 m wide. It has cut lengths up to 305 mm and widths of 100 to 220 mm. It uses single point registration for cutting and has full waste matrix removal and rewind. The packaged software, Winplot, runs on Windows and has plug-ins for both CorelDraw and Adobe Illustrator.
