Photo merchandise software manufacturer Taopix will release its latest Portfolio 3.3 software at the photokina exhibition in Cologne next week (Stand H030, Hall 4.1).

To be demonstrated live on the stand, the end-to-end platform for the creation and sale of online photobook and photo gift products includes over 50 new features and enhancements. These are designed to further drive volume sales and increase profitability for photo finishers and digital printers, as well as enhance the overall customer experience.

Among the new front-end enhancements is a Single Prints feature enabling customers to buy individual photo prints.

In addition, upgrades to the Shopping Cart facility make up-selling more prominent, with enhancements to the Voucher feature now supporting custom scripts for almost unlimited voucher promotions.

James Gray, Taopix CEO , said: ‘Our business objective has always been to grow our customers’ volumes and sales. New features within Taopix Portfolio 3.3 deliver business-enhancing features designed to do precisely that.

Taopix Portfolio 3.3 is available is three packages:

* Solo is an entry-level B2C model with many features and a clear upgrade path at a price to suit any budget

* Professional is a feature-rich solution designed to facilitate growth through B2B2C partnerships.

* Enterprise, a premium platform for self-publishing and asset management connectivity

Within each solution is a set of five primary modules that provide its renowned user-friendly and efficient end to end functionality. These include Taopix Portfolio 3.3: Creator, Designer, Control Centre, Installermaker and Production.

The Production module offers JDF support for output – though currently confined to HP Indigo presses

Within the Taopix Designer module, end customers can now also apply page style and background changes to all pages within a photobook. This is said to increase the opportunity for creativity and personalisation, enabling production of a more valuable and personal product. The Designer module also now incorporates a dynamic splash screen background. Upon launch of the application, this new background enables users to host customer promotions and advertising, allowing users to further drive new revenue streams

The Shopping Centre module can apply relevant tax rates on individual products within the same order, enabling some to be zero-rated as appropriate. This module also now enables end customers to apply the balance of unused gift cards to their account for future use.
