Catfish is a new cross media web to print program from ISL, formerly known as Infigo Software Ltd. It was shown for the first time at this week’s Cross Media show in London and will be available in the UK in October.

Developed for both B2B and B2C markets, Catfish builds on ISL’s experience in designing and delivering web to print, e-commerce and online marketing solutions for clients such as Tesco, Easyjet, British Gas, Stralfors and River Island.

It is optimised for mobile platforms and is said to provide users with enhanced control, flexibility and an intuitive design for personalised, multichannel communications – all achieved through the use of a single template across digital and print. It also features full integration with social media channels such as Facebook and Twitter.

Douglas Gibson, ISL’s founder and managing director, said: ‘Catfish has been a personal dream – to have complete ownership of a platform with full control over its design, direction and development. It has taken two years to create and we now have a platform that will give our customers an easy to expand and highly profitable e-commerce and online marketing service.’

The company said it has found that a multi-channel approach to communications and marketing yields the best results, with personalisation being the key. Whilst personalised 1:1 communications online is still young in terms of development, ISL said it has been working in this field for over five years.

Mr Gibson added: ‘Catfish is designed for personalisation. It will enable retailers to build powerful e-commerce and mobile-optimised sites that deliver fast access to the personalised merchandise and gifts market; it will help marketers to improve the performance of personalised communications across multiple channels including print, email and SMS; and it ensures professional printers can expand their businesses through personalised web-to-print and variable data services.’

Catfish is wholly owned and developed by ISL, with Mapsoft Computer Services as a key strategic partner for the creation and generation of personalised files.

ISL will offer Catfish alongside its existing Infigo web to print solution, plus the Isave.DIALOG product which is the main component of its Targeted Marketing Platform and the Quite Imposing tool for creating booklets or arranging complex imposition layout.
