The latest release of the iWay web to print system has been announced by Pageflex. It includes new variable data composition and support for ordering via smartphones
The company said the new features in iWay 6.0 ‘go beyond productivity and give printers the tools they need to expand their business by offering new services and serving new geographic regions.’
The NuDoc composition engine, already used in other Pageflex products, allows sophisticated variable data personalisation.
A new Create Order Application Programming Interface (API) allows printers to develop custom interfaces for their customers, that drive orders into iWay’s back end. The company said that anything from a homegrown storefront to a third party application can be supported.
New globalisation features help printers to better meet the needs of customers who service an international market or who have customers with locations in different countries using different currencies. These features include the ability to send out different emails and notifications in different languages, the ability to handle multiple currencies in one storefront, as well as tools for managing your own translation strings for custom fields.
Mobile support is now added, so print buyers can access, personalise and order documents directly from their smartphones.
There are enhanced features for shipping, delivery queue, and workflow.
