(L-R) Paul Warren of Cloud to Print, Christian Weyer of Crispy Mountain, Darren Bacon and Rob Littlemore of Colourfast Financial, and Wayne Beckett and Christopher Watson of Cloud to Print

In a deal agreed this week at The Print Show, Essex-based Colourfast Financial will become the first UK customer for the Keyline Cloud-based MIS and print automation software.

Colourfast Financial is Konica Minolta’s biggest UK customer and specialises in all aspects of financial printing from complex Initial Public Offerings to fast turnaround business compliance documents for global financial markets.

The company operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from its site which is 30 minutes from the City. A large percentage of finance sector work arrives late in the day and has to be printed overnight to meet early next-day delivery deadlines and it is intended that the MIS installation, which will be able to assign jobs to presses according to availability and loaded paper type, will also allow spare daytime capacity to be filled via a web portal.

Darren Bacon, managing director said, ‘At the moment 80% of our work comes from the financial sector and we need very fast turnaround of jobs. We have chosen Keyline to fully automate our production process from online order receipt right through to despatch. We currently run eight Konica Minolta machines and by reducing our touch points we think we can be more efficient and in turn more profitable.’

Wayne Beckett of Cloud to Print UK, Keyline’s UK and Ireland reseller, commented, ‘We have only been representing Keyline in the UK for two months and the response has been unbelievable. We are delighted to be working with Darren and his team and will be installing a system that will fully automate their workflow. Colourfast’s vision of future-proofing its business makes Keyline the perfect solution and our installation team will be working with other suppliers to integrate its software and hardware with Keyline.’
